Overview
The client reached us out to enhance and modernize their early-stage, vibe-coded film festival management platform, aiming to improve stability and overall functionality. We evaluated the existing system and proposed a complete rebuild into a robust, modern Version 2 solution. The platform connects filmmakers with festival organizers and supports the entire submission lifecycle—from film uploads to festival publishing and judging.
The system includes complete website infrastructure with onboarding flows, festival discovery, community features, blog and informational pages, and sponsor showcases. It supports multiple user roles—filmmakers, festival organizers, and festival staff—each with role-based permissions and dedicated dashboards.
Filmmakers can create detailed film profiles with media assets, production credits, screening history, awards, and promotional materials. Organizers can manage festivals with customizable submission categories, deadlines, financial workflows, waiver codes, judging systems, and staff permissions. A structured Draft → In Review → Published workflow ensures administrative oversight and quality control.
We also evaluated major industry competitors in the USA and developed a strategic plan to differentiate the platform in the market. Following launch, the platform gained significant traction in the US filmmaking industry and successfully onboarded some of the largest film festivals in the country.
Our team provided end-to-end services including product scoping, architecture design, UI/UX, implementation, QA, cloud hosting, CI/CD setup, and post-launch support—delivering quickly with high precision and continuous availability throughout development and launch.
